The Position
Applications are invited for a Fallen Stock Collector Driver at our Wrexham site. This is a full-time, permanent position, working an average of 48 hours per week, in line with UK Domestic Rules.
Your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company's requirements but will include:
- Driving a Company HGV (Class C) vehicle and operation of vehicle equipment (winch).
- Completing the required work documentation (including Driver Records and Collection Records).
- Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertaking required vehicle checks.
- Safe loading and unloading of vehicle.
- Collecting fallen stock from customer premises and bring back to site.
- Dispatching (kill) farm animals at customer premises using a captive bolt (WATOK training and assessment for licence will be provided).
- Using firearms (if correct certificates/licences are held) to dispatch farm animals.
- To act as an ambassador on behalf of the Company, ensuring that the clients/customers are treated courteously and respectfully.
- Consistently meeting Driver performance criteria requirements.
- Flexibility with regards to working days/hours upon request in order to fulfil business requirements, which may include Saturdays.
- Assistance with commercial activity and positive promotion of the Company and its services, not limited to liaison and engagement with new/existing customers and distribution of promotional material.
Requirements
- Candidates should hold a full, clean Driving licence – HGV Class C essential.
- Holding a WATOK Licence would be advantageous although not essential as the Company will provide training once employment has commenced.
- Hold relevant firearm certificates would be beneficial.
- Have previous experience of working in an agricultural or fallen stock background.
- Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner.
- Have knowledge of vehicle operations.
- Have the ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (EU & UK Domestic).
- Driver CPC completed.
